This House was inaugurated on July 31, 1980, when the first members, Srs. Marcelina, Aloysius, Pauline and Elsy Tresa started staying in the house of Mr. Luke Mattathilparambil, as he was abroad. The very next day Srs. Aloysius and Pauline were appointed teachers in the local School. The Sisters had to shift their residence on October 20 to the Generalate at Ettumanoor, since the owner of the house returned from abroad.
Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry blessed the present Convent on January 31, 1981. On March 27, 1982 a Tailoring Institute was established with the help of the Vincent de Paul society, but was closed down on April 21, 1992.
Srs. Marcelina, Pauline, Mettilda, Gloria, Reena,Sr. Petritia, Sr. Lillis, Sr. Marina, Sr.Petritia, Sr. Jositta, Sr. Pushpa, Sr. Jaimy, Sr. Betty Jose, Sr. Helma, are the former Superiors of this Convent. Sr. Lekha is the present superior on this community.
