This Convent was established with a view to the spiritual welfare of the Parish and to make religion classes more efficient. It was blessed by Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry on August 21, 1980. Rev. Fr. Mathew Karukapparambil, the Vicar, had been a source of inspiration and support.
The foundation stone of the reconstructed convent was laid on December 4, 2018 by Rev. Fr. Joseph Ezharath and was blessed on August 25, 2019 by His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Kottayam.
Srs. Philomina, Petritia, Lucy and Betty Jose are the first members of this House. The former Superiors are Srs. Petritia, Tessy, Gonzalo, Ancy, Joice, Anila, Rositta, Julie, Stephen, Treslin, Felix, Biby, Lalitha, Reesa and Sr. Clare. Now Sr. Sajini is the superior of this convent.
