On March 22, 1982 Srs. Celine, Angela, Tresa and Bosco started staying in a house, purchased through the help of Rev. Fr. Jacob Chollambel. Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry blessed this Convent and the Hostel on July 21, 1982. Now the Convent became the Regional House of St. Joseph's Congregation in Kannur. There are 12 Convents from the Districts of Waynad, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasargod and Palakkad comes under this Regional House. They are Mananthawady, Eachome, Kappiset, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kottoorvayal, Chullikkara, Odayamchal, Attappady, Changaleeri, Chulliyode & Mangalgiri
