This House was started on June 2, 1969. Srs. Cyril, Bosco, Jane, ancy and Nirmala, the first members stayed in the school building. At the initiative of Rev. Fr. Pillaveettil, the then Vicar, and Messrs. Thomman Oliprakat, Joseph Pazhempally and Mathai Chittet, members of the Parish, a plot of land, 0.53 hectare was donated to the Convent.
Bishop Mar Thomas Tharayil laid the foundation stone of the present building of the Convent on March 19, 1970. Rev. Fr. Thomas Valloppillil was entrusted with the construction work, and he did a laudable job in completing it in record time. Bishop Mar Thomas Tharayil blessed the convent on August 30, 1970. Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry was also present on the occasion.
Besides Rev. Fr. Thomas Valloppillil, Rev. Frs. Peter Vattapparambil, Mathew Karukakuttyil and Kuriakose Karamayil have contributed generously to the construction and furnishing of this House.
Srs. Cyril, Beatrice, Felix, Tessy, Stanislaus, Grace, Lourdsy, Florence, Kusumam, Vimala, Josin, Elsy Jose, Helma, Leoni, Jain Jose, Rogin, Karuna are the former Superiors of this convent. Sr. Karuna is the present superior of this community.
