With the initiative, encouragement and support of Rev. Fr. Jacob Valel, Vicar, this convent was started on April 4, 1983. The first members, Srs. Tresa maria, Elsy Tom, Pushpa, Elizabeth and Tresa stayed in a small house, rented out by Mr. Chummar Parappanad at a monthly rate of Rs. 70/-. The Vicar blessed this house in the presence of five other priests.
The Parish Church donated a plot of land, admeasuring 0.65 hectare, and Msgr. Simon Koonthanamattam laid the foundation stone of the Convent on March 7, 1984. Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry blessed the Convent on June 25, 1985. The contributions received from Rev. Fr. Joseph Mangad, and the help and support of the Vicars of the Parish are gratefully remembered.
Srs. Tresa Maria, Elizabeth, Stephany ,Maximin,, Sr. Merlin, Sr. Lisby, Sr.Innocent, Sr. Jyothi, Sr. Marie Therese, Sr. Flavia, Sr. Ushas, Sr. Pavana, Sr. Athulya are the former Superiors of this Convent. Now Sr. Anjitha is serving here as a superior.
