The first members of this House, Srs. Dennis, Angela, Annie John and Johnsy started staying in a temporary building on May 6, 1976. They arrived here with the intention of serving in the Karunyamatha L.P. School, which opened on June 1, 1976. The foundation stone of the present building of the Convent was laid on June 28, 1976. Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry blessed the Convent on March 3, 1977.
With the financial help of Msgr. Peter Poochakattil as well as the services of Rev. Fr. Appozhiparambil in supervising the construction work are gratefully remembered.
Srs. Dennis, Gonzalo, Bosco, Josephine, Petritia Sr. Anselam, Sr. Nirmala, Sr. Roslin, Sr. Helen, Sr. Elsy Treesa, Sr. Sancta, Sr. Alma, Sr. Praseeda, Sr. Sudeepa are the former Superiors. Now Sr. Jyothis is the superior of this house.
