With the solemn blessing and inauguration of this Convent, the 50th to be started, the dream of serving in the Capital of our country was fulfilled. It was blessed on February 27, 1994 by Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry. The public function that followed was inaugurated by Major Archbishop Mar Antony Cardinal Padiyara, and presided over by Archbishop Mar Joseph Powathil.
Srs. Cyril, Tessy and Starly are the first members of Nirmal Jyoti, so christened in accordance with the wishes of Bishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry. The services of the Delhi Catholic Knanaya Society in helping to acquire a plot of land and build a House here are commendable. The former superiors are Srs.Tessy, Sr. Virgin, Sr. Preema, Sr. Anitha, Sr. Anatsy, Sr. Shobhitha, Sr. Linu and now Sr. Libi is the superior of this community.
